Wedding in Portugal

A special wedding, from the daughter of a Friend of many years.

Yeah, I know Sofia’s father, Dinis, for more than 10, from other adventures.

What other adventures? Mountain biking, one of my passions.

But today is not the day to talk about bicycles, today I’m talking about Sofia and Hugo’s wedding.

A friendship that dates back to school, a few years ago.

The friendship was not immediate, little or nothing connected with each other at the time.

Years later, they met again, in the old “HI5”, and this time they never stopped the call.

This connection led to their first kiss, at the Castelo da Maia metro station, January 2009.

The kiss led to a dating request, by messages, but with all the feeling.

To celebrate 10 years of dating, Sofia decided to take Hugo to her favorite city, London.

Hugo took advantage of the trip and, in Hyde Park, at sunset, Hugo proposed his marriage.

The “Yes” was not immediate, it still took about 10 minutes.

Why?

A lot of crying, phone calls to parents, grandparents and friends.

10 minutes later, there was a “YES” that was very noisy and full of desire.

That put us on our wedding day, at Quinta de Prata.

Hugo’s simplicity and friendliness is good to see, Sofia’s joy in life is contagious.

They are well surrendered to each other 🙂

Lots of joy, lots of friendships, family and an environment that suits them.

A beautiful day, a day to never forget.

For me it was a special wedding, being able to photograph the wedding of a Friend’s daughter is beautiful!
